Tree Banding Party!

  • Dowd House 2216 Monument Street Charlotte, NC, 28208 United States

Don't try to worm your way out of this great opportunity to help out the Camp Greene tree canopy! We are banding trees starting at 9am. Free breakfast, free supplies, and free fun. If you have a tree that needs banding, come on out and we will help you take care of it! A big thanks to the City of Charlotte Neighborhood + Business Services for supplying the materials for this effort.

Tree banding keeps the wingless adult female fall and spring cankerworms from laying their eggs in the crown of the tree. The bands are made from insulation and plastic and are covered in a sticky substance called Tree Tanglefoot. The adult cankerworm must climb the tree to lay eggs.
